This is what some of our customers have to say:

“I have found the company an invaluable resource …
…making decisions that could have huge HR implications can be very daunting and to be able to discuss these issues with someone who can guide you through, make pertinent suggestions, or even just agree that you are on the right track does make what can be a very isolated role (the practice manager) feel as though there is a safety blanket in place – what a relief!”

“Following a recommendation I contacted Helen to assist …
…a PBC Cluster Group in the recruitment process of two managerial posts. The service received was efficient, professional and delivered all that was agreed. Contact was easy and any queries and concerns were addressed promptly. The whole process ran smoothly and we ended up recruiting two excellent managers. I will continue and already have highly recommended this service to others. It was a pleasure, thank you.

“It was really helpful to talk about our HR issues! Martin’s positive approach was very inspiring when we were floundering around in treacle. They are pretty much all sorted now thankfully – HR procedures and performance indicators now in place – but best of all – individuals in question have risen to the challenge! Hoorah!”

“Helen saved the practice an absolutely massive amount of time and effort. She brings a professional umbrella to the recruiting process and keeps you on track, bringing as much relevant science to this ‘art’ as is appropriate. This helps you look professional to prospective candidates!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you calculate holiday entitlement for part-time staff?

We have a member of staff that started working on Tuesday 1st March 2022 and works two 8-hour days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There are two Public Holidays in that period, Friday 15th April and Friday 3rd June. She plans to book a two-week holiday from Monday 27th June to Friday 8th July. How much holiday entitlement does she have?

We have a member of staff that works part-time Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 4 hours each day. He started with us on Monday 4th April 2022. How much holiday entitlement will he have accrued up to the end of the year 31st December 2022?

One of my staff has changed their working pattern from full-time to part-time. How do I calculate their holiday entitlement?

My staff currently email my Head of Reception, she looks after the holiday rota, me when they want to make holiday requests. She then emails me and I then manually check that our staff ratios will be acceptable for that period and book them in or reject the request. Is there an easier way?

As a busy GP Practice, with Doctors, Nurses, Admin and Reception staff, holiday calculations have to be worked out in sessions, days, or hours for those that are part-time. Can your system handle that complexity?

Can I generate my own employment contracts?

Management is not always about the work; it is in the space between the work; the gaps, the waits, the delays, duplication, the queues, the interfaces and inefficiencies.
