This is what some of our customers have to say:
“I have found the company an invaluable resource …
…making decisions that could have huge HR implications can be very daunting and to be able to discuss these issues with someone who can guide you through, make pertinent suggestions, or even just agree that you are on the right track does make what can be a very isolated role (the practice manager) feel as though there is a safety blanket in place – what a relief!”
“Following a recommendation I contacted Helen to assist …
…a PBC Cluster Group in the recruitment process of two managerial posts. The service received was efficient, professional and delivered all that was agreed. Contact was easy and any queries and concerns were addressed promptly. The whole process ran smoothly and we ended up recruiting two excellent managers. I will continue and already have highly recommended this service to others. It was a pleasure, thank you.
“Helen saved the practice an absolutely massive amount of time and effort. She brings a professional umbrella to the recruiting process and keeps you on track, bringing as much relevant science to this ‘art’ as is appropriate. This helps you look professional to prospective candidates!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you calculate holiday entitlement for part-time staff?
You can calculate holiday entitlement manually, a long and laborious task, or you can use our online calculator.
We have a member of staff that started working on Tuesday 1st March 2022 and works two 8-hour days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There are two Public Holidays in that period, Friday 15th April and Friday 3rd June. She plans to book a two-week holiday from Monday 27th June to Friday 8th July. How much holiday entitlement does she have?
Using the QuickstepHR Holiday Calculator, the system calculates that she has 8.4 days of holiday available including a pro-rata allocation for the two public holidays that occurred since her start date.
We have a member of staff that works part-time Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 4 hours each day. He started with us on Monday 4th April 2022. How much holiday entitlement will he have accrued up to the end of the year 31st December 2022?
The QuickstepHR Holiday Calculator shows a total of 12.5 days total holiday entitlement and there are 6 public holidays in that period therefore he has 6.5 days remaining holiday.
One of my staff has changed their working pattern from full-time to part-time. How do I calculate their holiday entitlement?
You can work it out manually in two separate calculations and then just add them together, or you can use the QuickStepHR Holiday Calculator.
My staff currently email my Head of Reception, she looks after the holiday rota, me when they want to make holiday requests. She then emails me and I then manually check that our staff ratios will be acceptable for that period and book them in or reject the request. Is there an easier way?
Yes, the QuickStepHR portal will email you directly to alert you that there has been a request, you simply accept or decline the request and the portal then informs the staff member.
As a busy GP Practice, with Doctors, Nurses, Admin and Reception staff, holiday calculations have to be worked out in sessions, days, or hours for those that are part-time. Can your system handle that complexity?
Yes, the QuickStepHR Holiday Calculator can work in sessions, days or hours.
Can I generate my own employment contracts?
Yes, using our online Workflow generator.
